Essex County Sheriffs Department Partners With Middlesex Sheriffs Office To Complete Interactive Training

first_imgMIDDLETON, MA — 87 members of the Essex County Sheriff’s Department (ECSD) have completed an interactive firearms training organized in conjunction with the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office (MSO), Sheriffs Kevin F. Coppinger and Peter J. Koutoujian announced this week. The training was held on the MSO’s Mobile Training Center (MTC), a specialized trailer that allows officers to practice their responses to critical incidents. MSO officers who operate the MTC can offer unique scenarios for each user to test their firearm, communication and de-escalation skills.“We are proud to share this resource with our law enforcement colleagues at ECSD. Our agencies regularly participate in trainings together, from our Crisis Intervention Training program to continuing education opportunities for staff, but this represents a new avenue for partnership,” said Sheriff Koutoujian. “This training allows officers to work through real life scenarios and practice their responses to a serious incident, all while receiving constructive feedback from ECSD instructors and MSO officers.”The MTC was stationed at the Middleton House of Correction from April 22 – May 3. ECSD staff practiced scenarios specifically tailored for the environments that deputies operate in, such as construction details which may involve a traffic encounter and inmate transportation.“Providing the most advanced training to our correctional officers is a priority of our department. We continually strive to provide high quality, situational training to our officers. Sharing this interactive training platform is an example of how Sheriffs’ Departments in the Commonwealth collaborate for the benefit of public safety,” said Sheriff Kevin Coppinger. In 2018, 19 police departments were trained through the MTC. So far this year, nine agencies – including the Essex County Sheriff’s Department – have utilized the MTC for at least one week of training.Photo L to R: ECSD Special Sheriff William Gerke, MSO Firearms Instructors Officers Frank Reid, Chris Hardy, Ret. Game of Thrones season 8 episode 4 Jaime Lannister to kill Arya

first_imgGame of Thrones season 8 Arya Stark and Jaime LannisterGame of Thrones (Helen: Sloan/HBO)/FacebookGame of Thrones season 8 is going to be the end of several of our favourite characters. There have been speculations about the death of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen but now fans are speculating that Arya Stark will apparently die in episode 4 by the hands of Jaime Lannister.Back in Game of Thrones season 7, it was shown how Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) finally ended his relation with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and headed to the North. From the recently released trailer of Game of Thrones season 8, it was revealed that he will be joining the hands with the Starks in their fight against the Night King. But what if he is not there to help Starks to kill Night King? What if he is simply there on Cersei’s order to murder whomever he can?In the earlier released trailer of Game of Thrones season 8, we were shown that Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) was running in Winterfell’s crypts. There are several theories as to from whom she is running. It was also speculated that she might have seen the ghost of her father coming back to life, which scared her to death and made her run for her life. But what if she is running from someone she thought she could trust? It was revealed that we are going to see the biggest battle of any TV show in Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3. The third episode is going to show an epic fight between the Army of Living and the White Walkers. The episode is going to feel like a feature film and it will surely reveal the death of several of our favourite characters. Remember, this is the final season and no resurrections are happening this time. Arya Stark in the official trailerYouTube/HBOSo, as we enter in episode 4, we may find the aftermath of the greatest war ever fought in the Winterfell. The episode will have several intense dramas and it will be the same moment when Jaime Lannister will realize that now he has to take actions otherwise it will be too late. After killing the Night King, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) will be headed to fight Cersei Lannister. As we all know, Arya Stark has become an assassin and can wear any face. She does not even hesitate when she slit anyone’s throat. So, even Jamie understands that she may become a problem for Cersei and in order to save his twin sister, there are chances that he somehow ends up killing the youngest Stark. Remember: Jaime himself said once, “Things I do for love!” We all know that he truly loves Cersei and can do anything for it.Well, this is yet another theory about Game of Thrones season 8. If it happens then fans will be heartbroken after seeing the end of Arya Stark from the hands of Jaime Lannister.last_img read more

Dont Let Fear Keep You From Building That App

first_img Register Now » 5 min read Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own. Look around you: Everyone is on their phone. All day long. This is a symptom of the times. Some call it the information age, or the digital era. I call it the age of the mobile phone. It probably won’t last forever, and I have no idea what’s going to come next. But with more and more of the internet access coming from mobile, it’s a fact we have to accept. This is the mobile age.So, as an entrepreneur, what’s your mobile presence like? Are you an app CEO? Or, do you only have a physical store? Are you web only? Are apps something you’ve always talked about getting into, but you didn’t know how to get started?Related: Apple Wants to Teach You How to Make AppsIf so, that’s fine — you’re not alone. I bet you’re still killing it. But you could probably do more. Remember: This is the mobile age. This is your app idea.I’ll make an assumption and say you’re already sold on how bad you need an app. I’ll take it you’ve already got a big app idea. So the next logical step is learning to code it out. DIY, right? No. Absolutely, 100 percent wrong. That’s like building your own house with your own two hands.I mean, why not? You have the idea, the vision of what your perfect house looks like. Supplies are readily available at a big-box store. Wood, nails, tools, go buy some! Hell, you can even find a ton of books and courses on home building. There are entire websites and YouTube channels dedicated to this! So, can you build your own house from scratch? Sure, it will simply take ten times as long to move in. Oh, and don’t ask me to step foot in that death trap. This is how to do it.Seriously, if you’re not a pro already, hire one. There are tons and tons of people who want to build your app. People that know what they’re doing, and can do it pretty damn good too. The bonus is that if you know what you’re looking for, it won’t even cost you close to the $50,000 you probably think it costs to build out your idea!Related: 8 Steps to Hire Best Freelance App DeveloperIf you don’t hire a someone that knows what they’re doing, if you don’t delegate this out to a true professional, congrats! You’ve just taken on a new hobby. Not a business. A hobby. Learning to code takes years to master. Yes, I’ll admit: You can get a prototype out by learning a few things and using some cool tools that you find, but I still think that’s a hobby. So if “learning to code” is your one reason why you’re not in the app game right now, you need to admit that you’re just afraid. This is your obstacle. That’s because learning to code is a roadblock invented by fear. Fear of success (imposter syndrome), fear of delegation (control freak, like me) or fear of something else. It’s all just fear.My favorite pro tip for dealing with fear in your business is simply to examine it. Is it a reasonable fear? Meaning, should you be afraid? If so, you can fix that. There’s something that is wrong with the plan or idea, so fix it. If not, ignore it. Find a mentor to guide you through the process, get a pro to build it out for you and just ignore your fear. You probably have no good reason to be afraid anyway, so why not build your app without learning to code it yourself?Related: 4 Reasons to Leverage DIY Website BuildersThere are millions of apps earning billions of dollars in the app stores of the world, and as an entrepreneur, you should be staking your own claim in the gold rush of our generation.
